Learn To Surf in Cornwall
Pro Surf Tuition Surf School offers a complete range of packages, from one-to-one ‘learn to surf’ sessions for complete beginners, through to guided ‘surf and stay’ deals.
So whether you are totally new to the sport of surfing or you are an accomplished surfer who would like to take advantage of Grishka’s years of surfing experience, extensive choice of surfboards and local knowledge, we can tailor a package for you!
The learn to surf packages
Private surf lesson for 1-4 people. You and your friends will learn at a beach carefully selected to suit your ability (i.e. a quiet, gentle beach break which is learner-friendly). After a couple of hours of tuition Grishka will have the majority of you standing, and after four or five lessons you should have a good enough understanding of the safety and
technical aspect of surfing to go and enjoy it yourself.
Includes transport / soft boards / mini mal / wetsuits / video analysis.
Age: 8yrs - 60yrs.
Intermediate surf package
One private lesson for 1-4 people. Grishka will use his extensive localknowledge to find the best waves for you on the day. If you need advice on improving your duck dive, or are struggling with that cutback or wave selection, Grishka can put you on the right track. One of the most important features of pro surf tuition is the access to an extensive
selection of surfboards - from retro twins to high-performance thrusters handshaped by Nigel Semmens or John Purton.
If you are unsure about the right surfboard for you Grishka can get you on the right equipment to maximise your enjoyment and progression.

Surf and stay package
The complete bespoke service staying in stunning Port Isaac (as seen on the TV show Doc Martin) where you will stay in the luxurious Long Cross Hotel. The guided tuition experience helps you take advantage of the many varied picturesque Cornish beaches, from King Arthur's Castle in Tintagel to St Michael's Mount near Land's End.
Grishka will meet you each morning and decide on the best conditions for the day to suit your ability. You will have a choice of surfboards tailored to your needs - with Grishka’s professional tuition and local knowledge you have the best chance possible of getting a great day's surfing.
After surfing you'll need to recharge those energy levels, so Grishka has lined up many restaurants throughout the West Country to tantalise your taste buds. If you want to sample the menu at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen or Rick Stein’s St Petroc’s bistro, Grishka can sort it out for you and leave
you to savour the food.
- Surf and stay packages run over 1, 3 or 5 days
- Surf lessons take approximately, 4hrs including transport
- Morning lesson are 9am - 1 pm; afternoon 2pm - 6pm
- All-day adventures also available from 9am - 6pm, with lunch included
There are plenty of other activities if you’re interested, from coasteering, golf, luxury spa facilities, horse riding, deep sea fishing to wine tasting - whatever you desire.
